A former water polo player, Julia once worked in strength and conditioning, coaching athletes in the weight room. There, she experienced — quite literally — the power of speech to move people to action.
Since joining West Wing Writers, Julia has found ample opportunity to engage her passion for words and action. She has written speeches, op-eds, reports, and more for NGO leaders, Fortune 50 CEOs, heads of state, and high-profile figures in sports and entertainment. Her portfolio includes extensive work on environmental issues, international development, and women’s empowerment — as well as writing on a variety of other areas, ranging from agriculture to public health to news and media.
While Julia's primary role is that of a writer, she also serves as one of the firm’s go-to editors. Whether it’s helping a client rework a keynote address, polish a book manuscript, or punch up an op-ed, she loves working with other writers and thinkers to bring out the best in their work.
Julia has written and edited material that has been delivered on the world's most influential stages, including the U.S. Congress, the National Press Club, and the Atlantic Council, and printed in publications including the New York Times, the Washington Post, Le Monde, Time, and the Huffington Post.
She is a native of Northern California and a 2009 graduate of Harvard University, where she studied social anthropology and government. She lives in Washington, D.C. |
