Dylan has worked on nearly two dozen political campaigns in positions ranging from campaign manager and communications director to envelope stamper and coffee retriever. He is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and The Guardian, where he writes commentary and political analysis. He is also the author of Permanently Blue: How Democrats Can End the Republican Party and Rule the Next Generation (Three Rivers Press; September 7, 2010).
Dylan has written speeches and op-eds for politicians and public officials at the highest levels of government, CEOs of Fortune 50 companies, and leaders of some of the country's most influential non-profit organizations.
He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a master's in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He also earned a B.A. in political science from UCLA, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Dylan wrote a column for the Kennedy School’s humor newspaper, The Octopus. He has also taught English in China, founded an anti-Iraq War organization, taught the LSAT, covered high school football for the Los Angeles Daily News, worked for the mayor of his hometown, ran for school board in his hometown, lost for school board in his hometown, and moved to Texas to manage a congressional campaign. That’s where he met his fiancée, Megan, who he’s marrying in November 2010. |
