Before joining West Wing Writers, Allison wrote digital campaigns that helped progressive Senatorial candidates raise millions of dollars in grassroots contributions.
Her fundraising emails appeared in millions of inboxes, and, OK, maybe the occasional spam folder, all across the country.
As a writer at Well & Lighthouse, Allison captured the tone and personality of aspiring office seekers, sitting Senators, and entertainers throughout the 2016 election cycle. She learned how to inspire Americans to support policies and politicians — as well as a few rhetorical techniques to get them to open their emails.
Prior to getting involved in politics, Allison worked for Cvent, an event-management technology company. As a copywriter, she supported Cvent’s sales and marketing team by writing white papers, customer success stories, and blog posts. Before Cvent, Allison handled small business outreach efforts at the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.
Allison graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a degree in journalism and mass communication. She was an NCAA Division 1 swimmer and has completed marathons and an Ironman triathlon. Allison originally hails from Buffalo, New York, but you can usually find her looking for water fountains on Washington, DC’s running trails.
