Ryan Clancy graduated from Villanova University in 2002 and moved to New York City with little money and no job. He worked as a bartender, caterer and paid guinea pig for medical testing before landing with The Rosen Group, a public relations firm.
For over three years, he handled media outreach and writing duties for a variety of publishing and corporate clients, and in his spare time, wrote freelance opinion essays that were published in USA Today and various regional papers.
In 2006, he moved to Washington, DC to become a copywriter for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, where he wrote fundraising appeals and online petitions for senators and other Democratic leaders. He joined West Wing Writers in early 2007.
Ryan originally hails from Connecticut and he loves Italian food (actually all food), yoga, PBS documentaries, the New York Giants, and writing about himself in the third person. |
